Individuals involved in the schlo community presented in the current schlo projects can be broken into five groups. The first group is humans, just normal people. The next group is schlos, genetically engineered people fit into this category. Then there's the Great Twelve descendants, who are distantly related to one of the twelve original schlos. The group after that is the Wa family, or WaSchlos, they are selected by schlos to manage the organization, or are born into the position. The last group is hard to put into one category, or it's not exactly clear which one they belong in.
